Stamped Concrete Cost per Square Foot in Florida, With a 20x20 Example

Last updated September 2026. Prices checked September 27, 2026.

In Central Florida, stamped concrete runs about $9 to $30 per square foot. Angi's Orlando guide puts most projects at $2,375–$6,833 (July 2026). National guides land a little lower.

Why such a wide range? Mostly the finish. One pattern in one color sits at the bottom. Extra colors, borders and custom designs push it up.

None of these are our prices. We pour stamped concrete with our own crew. Actual project pricing requires a free estimate. For the service itself and its honest downsides, see our stamped concrete page. Pricing other concrete work? See our concrete cost overview.

How much is stamped concrete per square foot in Florida?

About $9 to $30 per square foot in Central Florida, with most projects at $2,375–$6,833 (Angi, Orlando, July 2026). No guide publishes a Melbourne, FL or Brevard figure. Orlando is about 70 miles from Melbourne, FL, so read it as Central Florida.

Homewyse's calculator runs much higher, at $25.71–$31.28 per square foot for single-color stamped concrete (September 2026). We use it below only against Homewyse's own plain-concrete figure.

How much is a 20x20 stamped concrete patio?

HomeGuide lists a 20x20 stamped patio at $3,200–$7,600 and a 20x20 two-car stamped driveway at $4,800–$7,200 (December 2025). Those are national figures for 400 square feet.

Angi doesn't list a 400-square-foot size, so here's our arithmetic from its per-square-foot rates.

Other common sizes, straight from HomeGuide's national table (December 2025):

SizeStamped concrete, installed
4x20 walkway (80 sq ft)$800–$1,700
12x12 patio (144 sq ft)$1,150–$2,750
16x16 patio (256 sq ft)$2,000–$4,850
24x24 two-car driveway (576 sq ft)$6,900–$10,400
24x36 three-car driveway (864 sq ft)$10,400–$15,500

Angi's Orlando guide uses bigger size bands, such as $2,500–$15,000 for a 500-square-foot driveway. That spread is why we'd rather give you a written number for your space.

Is stamped concrete cheaper than poured concrete?

No. Plain poured concrete costs less in every guide we checked. HomeGuide puts plain slabs at $5 to $10 per square foot and stamped concrete at $8 to $19 (December 2025).

We compared each guide only with itself:

Cost guidePlain concreteStamped concrete
HomeGuide, national$5–$10 per sq ft (slab) · Dec 2025$8–$19 per sq ft · Dec 2025
Angi, Orlando$4–$7 per sq ft (patio) · Aug 2026$9–$30 per sq ft · Jul 2026
Homewyse, national, basic$9.86–$12.11 per sq ft (driveway) · Sep 2026$25.71–$31.28 per sq ft (single color) · Sep 2026

On a 20x20 patio, Angi's Orlando rates work out to $1,600–$2,800 plain and $3,600–$12,000 stamped (our arithmetic). Homewyse's rates put stamped at about 2.6 times plain.

Where does the extra go? HomeGuide splits its $8–$19 into materials at $2–$6, labor at $3–$9, and stamping and coloring at $3–$4 per square foot.

Want color without a pattern? Concrete staining is another route. For a plain slab, see concrete patios or our driveway cost guide. Actual project pricing requires a free estimate.

Is stamped concrete cheaper than pavers?

Usually, at the basic level. Concrete Network says stamped concrete is less expensive "as pavers are placed individually and require more labor." At the custom end, the ranges overlap.

Cost guideStamped concretePavers
Concrete Network, national$10–$14 per sq ft (basic) · Jan 2026about $10–$23 per sq ft · Jan 2026

Angi, national$9–$22 per sq ft · Sep 2026$10–$30 per sq ft (paver driveway) · Apr 2026

Again, each guide is compared only with itself. None publishes a Central Florida paver price.

A detailed stamped design can pass basic pavers. Angi's Orlando guide averages a custom logo or inlay at $30 per square foot.

Fair warning: we pour stamped concrete and don't install pavers, so we aren't neutral. Our pavers vs concrete guide covers upkeep and lifespan, too. Actual project pricing requires a free estimate.

What makes stamped concrete cost more?

The finish level, mostly. HomeGuide prices basic stamped concrete, with one pattern, uniform color and no borders, at $8 to $13 per square foot. Its high-end tier, with several patterns and colors, runs $19 to $26 or more.

  • Pattern. Angi's Orlando guide averages each style per square foot. Brick is $9, slate $11, cobblestone $14, wood plank $16, and a custom logo or inlay $30. HomeGuide adds that "selecting a standard stamping pattern is much cheaper than paying a contractor to create a new pattern."
  • Colors. "Prices increase for every extra color and pattern added to the concrete," HomeGuide says.
  • Borders and details. Angi says "decorative borders, custom colors, or embedded designs increase the cost."
  • Size. Bigger jobs cost more in total. Angi's Orlando guide sees projects from $1,500 at the low end to $11,000 at the high end.
  • Tear-out. If an old slab has to come out first, that adds to the job. Our driveway cost guide covers tear-out.

Those style prices are Angi's market averages, not our prices. The pattern and color are your call. We can do most requested patterns and colors, and if one isn't feasible, we'll tell you upfront and talk through the options. Actual project pricing requires a free estimate.

Comparing stamped quotes? Check that each one assumes the same pattern, colors, borders and sealer. Our guide to choosing a concrete contractor in Brevard covers what else to compare.

Stamped concrete cost FAQ

How much does it cost to keep stamped concrete sealed?

Angi's Orlando guide says stamped concrete "should be resealed every two to three years," at about $2.50 to $4 per square foot each time. On a 20x20, that's $1,000–$1,600 per resealing (our arithmetic). Actual project pricing requires a free estimate.

Do you reseal stamped concrete?

Yes. We reseal stamped concrete, including stamped concrete another company installed. For when and how often to seal, see our driveway care guide.

Can you stamp existing concrete?

Yes. We install stamped overlays over existing concrete. That's a thin concrete layer on top of the old slab, not a new pour. HomeGuide puts stamping existing concrete at $7 to $15 per square foot (December 2025). That's a market estimate, not our price. Our resurfacing page covers overlays. Actual project pricing requires a free estimate.

Is stamped concrete cheaper than flagstone?

Usually. Concrete Network says stamped concrete is "competitive with or often cheaper than" natural stone, flagstone, brick or precast pavers. It credits labor: pouring and stamping a slab costs less than setting pieces by hand.

Are these your prices?

No. They're published market estimates, and we name the source and date for each one. Actual project pricing requires a free estimate.

Do you charge for an estimate?

No. Estimates are free. You'll get a written quote, itemized if you'd like.
